The unlikely has happened for the San Francisco Giants in the 2012 MLB World Series as they won the opening games against the Detroit Tigers. The one game you could almost guarantee a Detroit win in, Justin Verlander’s start, the Giants won handily. Now they head to Detroit for game 3 and if you can’t watch it on FOX, there is always free online streaming.
San Francisco has all the momentum in the world right now, and that doesn’t appear like it will change anytime soon. The current odds have the Giants at -270 for winning the series. However, in tonight’s game, the Tigers are favored at -150. The current runline is Tigers -1.5. The Giants still have plenty of wiggle room though.
Tonight’s match up features Tigers’ righthander Anibal Sanchez hosting fellow righty Ryan Vogelsong. Sanchez posted a subpar 9-13 record for the season, but has come to play in the playoffs with a 1.35 ERA in twp starts. The same can be said for Vogelsong. He has accumulated a similar 1.45 ERA, but over 3 games with a 2-0 record.
The reports are that it is coooooold in Detroit, so the Giants may have a bit of an adjustment to make. It wil be even more cold for Detroit if they can’t secure this must-win game three at home.
You can watch the San Francisco Giants and Detroit Tigers Major League Baseball World Series game 3 match-up on FOX or online streaming at various web outlets.
