It looks like Hurricane Sandy is getting ready to be a factor for may Sunday NFL games. As the jet stream pushes the storm up the coast, you can expect to see many quarterbacks and kickers struggling to keep the ball on target in high winds. One quarterback will not have Hurricane Sandy as an excuse today is Tony Roma as the Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants far from the storm in the comfort of the domed Cowboys Stadium.
This is a pivotal matchup for both teams. A win could put the defending Super Bowl New York Giants at the top of the NFC East. A loss for the Dallas Cowboys could have the team clawing out of the basement for the rest of the season.
The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting the red-hot Atlanta Falcons today and the Washington Redskins face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If these games result in loses for the Eagles and Redskins the Cowboys would get a little relief in their division race. That could be a saving grace for the Cowboys today, but they need to be the masters of their own destiny.
