South Florida Sun Sentinel’s Miami Dolphins beat writer unintentionally put it all out there today. In his breakdown of the first season of Coach Joe Philbin’s new squad, a typo or Freudian slip has appeared. Kelly and his counterpart Chris Perkins were reporting on the highlights of the Miami Dolphins’ 2012 season, when the subject turns to the most impressive win of the season.
Chris Perkins seems most impressed with the Dolphins win over Seattle. Omar Kelly liked the win over the Bengals but went on to say, “there’s nothing better than shutting up the “load mouth” New York Jets 30-9 on the road.”
Load mouth? This is a new one. We have all heard about the risqué sexual appetites of Gang Green in the press. Brett Favre had his sexting scandal, Mark Sanchez was allegedly linked to a NYC lolita and who could forget Rex and Michelle Ryan’s footgate. Footgate came to a conclusion with nude pictures of what was described as Michelle Ryan hitting the web. Just this week the Ryans made the news again when Rex was photographed with a tattoo of his wife wearing nothing but a Mark Sanchez jersey. I guess Mark’s job is safe, if he is willing to put in the work.
So “load mouth” may be a fitting name for the Jets. I am sure if you talk to Bills, Patriots and Dolphin’s fans they are prone to agree with Omar Kelly.
