The week 8 edition of Sunday Night Football for the 2013 NFL Season will kick off tonight between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. The two teams are currently at opposite ends of the spectrum, Green Bay with a 4-2 record and Minnesota at 1-5. The game will be televised on NBC with an NFL free live online streaming option, starting at 8:30pm EST.
No one is expecting the Vikings to put up much of a fight tonight due to their disaster of a quarterback situation. Currently, the Vegas point spread is Green Bay -11.5. It looks like Christian Ponder will be back in the driver’s seat, and he scares no one, so it will be the standard game plan of stacking the box and only worrying about Adrian Peterson.
As for the Packers, including this game, they have quite the cupcake schedule to finish off 2013. After this game they host Chicago and Philadelphia, two other teams with QB injury drama, and then it is the Giants and back to play Minnesota again. Their next challenge doesn’t come again until Thanksgiving when they head to Detroit to play the Lions.
