In most cases, a home underdog by almost two touchdowns against the point spread is a nice tasty pick. However, if we look at this exact situation, the Seahawks are peaking as the Rams are in dreadful shape especially at the quarterback position. When you consider extending an invitation to a 44-year old Brett Favre who has been out of the league for two and a half seasons, you are in dire straits. Aside from not having a QB after Sam Bradford hit injured reserve, the team has no identity.

As for Seattle, they are firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball and appear ready to roll straight into the playoffs. It is hard to pick against them tonight, even if they are spotting two touchdowns… so we won’t

If you read Riot’s NFL Week 8 Picks, Predictions and Stone Cold Locks article, you noticed that he was recommending a three-team parlay of Green Bay, San Francisco and Seattle. So far, both the Packers and Niners have come through, both covering the point spread. That would just leave it up to Seattle to do the same.
