Good morning and welcome to another addition of TMR Zoos expert NFL picks. Things are coming down the the wire. Playoff tickets are being punched, tore up, and most are still being fought over like a Furbie on Black Friday. The Bears loss to the Vikings was as comical as it was disappointing. Ruining what could have been, we ended up 1-2 and -2.35 units. That brings our yearly total to 24-18 and + 24.81 units. Riots Rundown goes 5-3 bringing that total to 79-48. Let’s take a look at Week 14.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Washington Redskins +3:
The Redskins are a much better team than their record suggests. RG3 is able to make a few scrambles and He can still make a few big plays with his arm. The Chiefs defense used to be able to stop anybody, now they look lost. Not that the Redskins have a great defense, but the Redskins defense will have an easier time trying to stop KC than KC’s defense will have trying to stop the Redskins at home. Redskins +135 2 units.
Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles -2.5:
Nick Foles is not a great QB. He has an average arm but the guy makes great reads and smart decisions. He hasn’t thrown an interception… well he has thrown a few but they have been called back for penalties and what not. The Eagles defense is a lot better when the Refs let them play. They do a lot of jams and do not turn around to the ball very often. I think this will be different for two reasons. 1. Calvin Johnson is a big man and he is going to get the ball regardless, 2. If he doesn’t, he has enough celebrity to get the call. I think Lions go into Philly and get the win. Lions +2.5 -110 Risk 2 units
Tenseness Titans @ Denver Broncos -13.5:
I think this line is a little off. I am heading to this game today and the only thing on my mind is … its 7 degrees outside. It might even snow. My wife is going to kill me when we get there. Peyton runs a finesse offense and it doesn’t do great in the cold. Combine that with the fact that the Titans already have a pretty good pass defense. This game might go differently than people expect. I am taking the points. Titans +14.5 -130 risk 3 units
