Last week we concluded the last round of the regular season by going 1-2 and losing 4.7 units. Week 17 is a tricky week, but for the 2nd straight year, we here at TMRZoo.com finished in the green! Kansas City Chiefs @ Indianapolis Colts +1 : Here is an interesting game. The teams are very similar, (with the exception of the Chiefs obvious rushing advantage) and this game could basically be a coin flip. Last time the Chiefs were in town, the Colts beat them pretty solidly, but as history tells us, that means very little. The Chiefs knew they were going to be this 5 spot with a highly likely opportunity of playing the Colts, so I don’t think we saw a complete Chiefs team at that time. A few big turnovers really sealed the fate of KC, I like them to bounce back and take this game thanks to a strong effort from RB Charles. (Note: This game opened with Colts favored, but betting has pushed the line towards the Chiefs) Chiefs -1 -110 to win 3 units.
New Orleans Saints @ Philadelphia Eagles -3: Here is a game that we are sure to read too much into. Which angle do you take ? The high flying Saints with their onslaught of offense vs the Eagles team that struggled vs the Kyle Orton lead Cowboys ? Or do you see the bad road team Saints vs the Eagles who have looked dominant at home? Or perhaps you see a Saints team that has had very little playoff success outside of their Super Bowl win ? I think the Eagles have Shady McCoy, and he will be the difference maker.He is great in all sorts of weather and he opens the passing game for Nick Foles. I think Foles drives this bus to a playoff victory. Eagles -3 -110 to win 3 units.
San Diego Chargers @ Cincinnati Bengals -6.5: What a great game we have here. The biggest story line here is Phillip Rivers. River’s has a chance to change the narrative of his legacy. River’s has had great post season success with a stacked team including Tomlinson, Gates (In his prime) and a Lights Out defense. This time around, things are a bit different. He has contributors, but not nearly the star power he had years ago. Although, this is one of his best seasons statistically. after making it in at the last second, they could be a team of destiny. That being said, I like the Bengals. Most people laughed when I included them in my list of 5 teams guaranteed to include the Super Bowl winner. They aren’t the front runner, but they are a dark horse. I think they win this game, 7 was a little high, but the line has dropped to -6.5 , So I will take it. Bengals -6.5 -110 to win 2 units.
San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers +2.5: How great is Aaron Rodgers ? The guy missing a lot of the season, the team looks to be in turmoil. He comes back for the last game and throws a fumble for a touchdown? Throws a clutch 4th down pass to win the game and make it to the playoffs and now he will face a questionable 49ers team ? Though, we should give the 49ers a little credit, they went on the road and beat a tough Cardnials team, but only by 3 points. The line opened almost a pick-em in some places and the public pounded the 49ers to around -3, now some money is buying the Packers back down to +2.5 This could be a close a game, but I am going to take the points and roll the dice with the Packers. Remember, if it looks to good to be true, it probably is. Packers +2.5 -105 3 units
