This brutal winter is not is making the sports blackhole much more unbearable. With no NFL or MLB, the NHL on their Winter Olympic break and the NBA having their all-star break at the same time, I think I’m going slightly mad. Sure the USA Olympic hockey team is doing very well. However that is a small window in 8 hours of Figure Skating programing. The one saving grace of the sports blackhole is Red Bull Crashed Ice.

For those of you unfamiliar with this sport it combines the best elements of the ice luge, hockey, downhill skiing into a mash up of one of the most exciting extreme sports you have ever seen. Since being tuned onto Red Bull Crashed Ice we at the offices have been mesmerized by the sport.

Red Bull Crashed Ice crosses the Atlantic to Saint Paul, USA, for the second event in the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship 2014. The sport of ice cross downhill continues its residence in the ‘State of Hockey’ with a third visit to the capital of Minnesota on Saturday, February 22, 2014 as the sport continues to grow in popularity with US fans.

1 oz Goldschlager
A can of Red Bull energy drink

Fill glass with ice and blend into a delicious smoothie.
