This is the time of the year when good teams start getting hot. Luckily its also the time of the year when we start getting hot. After 2- the previous week, we went 3-0 last week and made 10.2 units to show for it. Sadly, I parlayed those games with two NBA games and lost a +2500 parlay because Carmelo Anthony missed a free throw with less than a second left, to miss the spread. It still stings, but alas, we have week 10 to look forward too. Let’s get started.
San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints (-5.5): Neither team has been having a very good season, compared to their own standards. Although, both are still in a position to make a run for the playoffs. Yet both have lost to teams that they should have beat. The one saving grace I can see here is that the Saints are playing at home and they usually take care of business there. The physicality of the 49ers worries me, but I’ll take the Saints to spread them out and put some points on the bored. I’ll take the Saints to win -230, to win 2 units.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Jets (+4): The Steelers are the talk of the NFL these past two weeks. Suddenly, their offense is unstoppable. The Jet’s are continuing to be a joke amongst the league. That’s why when people see a line of Steelers
-4, they tend to pounce on it. This could be a mistake. The Jet’s are a scrappy team. They play great teams close and I think the Steelers are merely a good team, playing really well right now. I think Percy Harvin and Mike Vick will put up some numbers today and might even pull out the W. But ill take the points. Jets +4 -115 to win 2 units.
St. Louis Rams @ Arizona Cardinals (-7.5): The public is still not a fan of the Rams. Understandable so, cause they are 3-5, however, they have beat the 49ers and the Seahawks. They seem to play their division quite tough. Luckily for them, the Cards are in their division. The Cards are coming off of a solid win vs. Weeden led Cowboys. They are 7-1 on the season and are very popular with the public. That being said, I think people are overlooking the Rams and I am going to roll the dice with them. Rams +7.5 -125 to win 2 units.
