Gentlemen’s Club Review: Scores (New York, NY)

The Low Down
Scores New York is one of several gentlemen’s clubs operating under the Scores brand name and the second one I’ve had the pleasure of visiting, the first being the massive Scores Atlantic City in the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ. I arrived at the club at around 9:00pm on a Friday evening. As with all of my gentlemen’s clubs reviews, I rated the club on a scale of one to five, with five being the best possible score.

Location & Facilities – 5 Stars
Scores New York is located near the Lincoln Tunnel and six blocks from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. It’s also conveniently close to many of the top Manhattan gentlemen’s clubs in case you wish to tour several establishments either by yourself or with a group. As with pretty much all of Manhattan gentlemen’s clubs parking is virtually non-existent, but the club is easily accessible by taxi, Uber and various forms of public transportation. The one-story club itself features six flat-screen televisions and an elaborate dancer stage with video screens and a smoke machine which provides a very hypnotic display. The club may seem small, but it’s a standard size for Manhattan gentlemen’s clubs as the sky-high city rent doesn’t justify building mega-clubs like you’ll find near Las Vegas or Miami.

Staff – 5 Stars
As with many of the high-end gentlemen’s clubs in Manhattan, the service at Scores is impeccable. As is customary with the local high-end gentlemen’s clubs, when I arrived I was greeted and escorted to my seat by the floor attendant Nick. I have to thank Junior, the floor manager on duty, who did an excellent job of providing me with a tour of the club and explaining all of the amenities that are available.

Food & Drink – 5 Stars
While the club itself offers top-shelf bar service and a wide variety of domestic and imported beer options, the club’s most impressive feature is the highly-acclaimed Robert’s Steakhouse located within the club itself. You’ll have the opportunity to share an intimate conversation with friends or co-workers while the lovely ladies of Scores are a few feet away for your visual pleasure. Robert’s Steakhouse offers diners a wide variety of poultry and seafood options (ranging from $28 to $43) as well as their dry-aged prime beef selections including rib-eye, porterhouse for two, t-bone steak and filet mignon (ranging from $51 to $53). Truffle lobster mac and cheese, double smoked bacon, sautéed wild mushrooms and steamed asparagus are just a few of the side dish options available on their impressive menu.

Dancers – 5 Stars
The beauty of the Scores New York club itself is only outshined by its mix of very attractive dancers. I had the fortune of receiving an amazing couch dance from Val, a tall brunette dancer who caught my eye as soon as I walked in. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to find a no-pressure atmosphere, as the dancers were friendly and outgoing but didn’t try to drag me back for dances or the champagne court as soon as we start conversing.

barValue – 4 Stars
As you would expect from a high-end Manhattan gentlemen’s club, Scores New York isn’t for the cheap or frugal, but your money does go pretty far at the club. The cover charge is $30, so be sure to download your free admission pass from the Scores NY website. The club also offers a great happy hour special every Thursday, offering free admission and two free drinks from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.

Website & Social Media – 5 Stars
The Scores New York website provides all of the resources you’ll need to make the most of your time at the club, including directions, dancer pictures, party packages as well as information about their in-club restaurant Robert’s Steakhouse. The club website also provides links to their Facebook, Twitter and FourSquare pages for up-to-the-minute information about club news and events.

In Brief…
Scores has become one of the major gentlemen’s club chains by providing a quality club atmosphere, beautiful dancers and excellent customer service, and their New York City location is certainly no exception.
