A rumor circulated Sunday that the Patriots could cut Chad Ochocinco or Albert Haynesworth. It was just the opinion of one non-Patriots executive, but the idea unsurprisingly caught fire in the Boston area.
Florio pointed out that cutting Ochocinco would be hard to imagine because of the financial implications.
Getting rid of Haynesworth would be easy financially, but thereââ¬â¢s just not much reason yet to believe it will happen.

Saturday nightââ¬â¢s Raiders-49ers preseason game was marred by violent incidents involving fans, including one man being badly injured in a beating in a Candlestick Park restroom, and two men getting shot in the parking lot afterward.
A 24-year-old man is at San Francisco General Hospital with what have been referred to as life-threatening injuries after he was shot following the game.
The victim was wearing a ââ¬ÅF- the 49ersââ¬Â T-shirt, and police detained a suspect who was wearing Raiders apparel.

C'mon, vomitting on a fellow fan during a regular season game is much worse than blowing a hole in an opposing fan after a pre-season game.

This is not a bad idea. There are multiple owners of the lots around the Linc (Eagles, Comcast, private) so they wouldn't all coordinate an effort like this. I think beer sales cutoff times are going to keep moving up too.
