RE: Shinobi update and advice. - CTN - 06-21-2015 Oh man this is gonna look sick! I love the look of different coloured washers on the machine heads. Two of my guitars are rocking that look RE: Shinobi update and advice. - Securb - 06-21-2015 Ralph you are a talented fuck for a psychopath. Green could be cool. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/M8-GWR-Colourfast-Flat-Washers-A2-Stainless-Steel-Coloured-Washer-/281638275013?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item4192f307c5 Those blue ones would be cool on the probeus build. RE: Shinobi update and advice. - CTN - 06-21-2015 stay with brass. it'll look better with all the other hardware. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/M8-Brass-Flat-WASHER-Brass-Full-WASHERS-50-PK-/361238696491?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item541b81122b RE: Shinobi update and advice. - kinnikuman - 06-21-2015 (06-21-2015, 04:07 PM)CTN Wrote: stay with brass. it'll look better with all the other hardware. I cant find any in the right size. I found those shims but their 0.01mm thick. Wonder if it would be hard to just grind one down? I bet its hard to hold haha. I guess i could always drill out enough for the nut to go .5mm recessed into the top. I overlooked this part......oooops RE: Shinobi update and advice. - CTN - 06-21-2015 what tuners you using? Sperzels? RE: Shinobi update and advice. - kinnikuman - 06-21-2015 (06-21-2015, 04:25 PM)CTN Wrote: what tuners you using? Sperzels? No gotoh, The problem is i forgot to take a few mm off the headstock thickness to allow for the extra material and finish. So now the problem is i cant screw the machine head bolts down with the thick washers provided. I have some stainless .5mm washers here which work but i dont want to paint them. So i need a M8 washer/shim with a 8-10mm ID, 14-16mm OD, Thickness .5mm oi brass or black. RE: Shinobi update and advice. - CTN - 06-21-2015 Can you still take some thickness off the back of the headstock or is that not an option? Its not really an option now. I could recess the washer in the wood as another option |
