NFL Offseason 2011 - Securb - 07-25-2011 Hooch Wrote:should be interesting. Free Agency Blitz I think it will be more interesting to see who gets injured on the first day of camp. NFL Offseason 2011 - Hooch - 07-25-2011 Securb Wrote:I think it will be more interesting to see who gets injured on the first day of camp. that happens regardless. Its such a coincidence that camp is starting on time isnt it? The only casualty is the Hall of Fame Game. :shifty: NFL Offseason 2011 - Speng - 07-25-2011 They should give the teams at least a single day's grace period to sign their own players. NFL Offseason 2011 - Hooch - 07-25-2011 The lockout is over. It sounds like both the players and the owners made some fair trade offs. The BIG loser of the day? Cam Newton - he'll make less than 50% of what Sam Bradford got a year ago due to the new limitations on draft pick signings. NFL Offseason 2011 - Securb - 07-25-2011 We should probably wait ten minutes to write this post, because the Ravens may cut another big name before weââ¬â¢re done. After dropping Kelly Gregg, Willis McGahee, and Todd Heap, word has leaked out that the Ravens have also cut Derrick Mason per Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun. This is the most surprising cut yet. The Ravens are clearly dead set on getting younger, faster, and cheaper. Mason gained over 800 yards last year, but he was well paid for a 37-year-old player. We wonder if heââ¬â¢ll consider retirement after flirting with it last year. NFL Offseason 2011 - Securb - 07-26-2011 Michael Vick suggested Tuesday that DeSean Jackson may not report to training camp Wednesday. Jackson, who is scheduled to make $565,000 this season, has been outspoken about his desire for a lucrative long-term contract. Vick seems to think that Jackson is prepared to force the team's hand. "Hopefully, he'll be here tomorrow," Vick said. "DeSean just has some things to think about and some decisions to make that only himself can make." The Eagles are in win-now mode and figure to work out a deal with their playmaker NFL Offseason 2011 - Hooch - 07-26-2011 who needs DeSean Jackson when you have Randy Moss and Plaxico Burress? NFL Offseason 2011 - Hooch - 07-26-2011 Seahawks came to terms with Tavaris Jackson. That leaves Arizona and Miami in the Kolb dealings. The other will probably get Kyle Orton. NFL Offseason 2011 - 3daddict - 07-26-2011 Ok, now that the lock out is over, what the hell did it mean in the first place? Is it just some sort of publicity stunt? That combined with giving the owners more flexibility with how they spend their money? Are they fucking over the players in the only way business knows how (though, it's hard to feel sorry for the recipients of our cultural goal displacement)? Is everyone now just happy they can start with their fantasy leagues? Or all of the above and I'm not missing a thing. NFL Offseason 2011 - 3daddict - 07-26-2011 Sorry to double post but from what I can gather it appears the lockout was a benefit to the players but more importantly to the rank and file players and the older players. No longer will the newest players make the most. And the training sessions could be safer. Cool |
