Just a clean channel thing almost surf with a little tremolo or vibrato probably could be done with a leslie simulator too. That is a pretty bright guitar to start with so go from there.

I'm thinking I can get most of the way there with a Tele, but a hollow body to me has its own vibe. I hear that certain quality on some of the old Killing Joke songs.

A Mosrite would get you there too , I miss my old Univox High Flyer , Mosrite copyish it had that same sort of crispiness to it.
