Any Linux Users
#1
Any other Linux users out there. I have been using it on and off for years. I like when I work on the site, sometimes when I am removing spammer links I click on them and with Linux I dont have to worry about viruses or spyware. I can also rip my CDs that come with a ton of copywrite protection on them. Plus it just runs so much better. The only thing that sucks is installing software.

But after much frustration and time I finally figured out how to get bit torrent installed on the machine now I am rockin huge grin

What a pain, I had to install "Wine" to install "uTorrent"
"Wine" wouldn't install until I installed "Cabextract" once I did that it was as easy as installing a windows app. I can't tell how happy I was to see that auto installer pop up box.

If you have an old PC that is running crappy I strongly suggest installing Madriva on it instead of throwing it out. It runs faster and more reliable that windows and it is free.

I used to run Redhat years ago but I got irritated and abandoned it after a few months.

I was thinking about giving it another try one of these days, I have a few computers just sitting idle.

I'll have to look into that. Offhand, do you know how large is the download?

It is about 650 MB, you can buy the disk from them, a flash drive with the OS on it or you can download it for FREE. You can install it on the computer or run it off of the CD.
