NY VS PHILLY

Their is a certain buzz in the air as there has been throughout the series......

I just hope the buzz isn't the sting of the Yankee's bats tonight.

No shit. It is ridiculous. Game 3 ended after midnight Halloween night... which made it November, so most of this World Series will be played in November at the conclusion of tonight's game.

It seemed to last forever...long time coming though. Love the team / Hate coach Girardi. I would like to see Matsui, Damon, & Pettitte signed for one more year, they have earned it.
I have that annoying "Fightin' Phils" white towel, send me TMR Office address & I will send it out to you guys.

I have to say Matsui earned his keep last night with those big swings... Damon came through at some critical times too.

I would have loved to make it a 7 game series even if the Yanks still ended up victorious.

Being from Philadelphia it ended how I anticipated it would.

It was a great series...

I have a better idea of what we can do with it. Mongo will be over shortly... just wait for him with your elbows on the table.

THe reason it lasted so long this year is because of the World Baseball Classic. The season didn't begin until April 7th. It usually starts around March 29th/30th. If that were the case this year, the World Series would have ended at the end of Oct.

As far as the series itself, Matsui deserved the MVP. As during other times in his career, he hit nearly everything thrown anywhere near him. 6 RBI in one game...that's crazy!

And Pedro is going to be the goat, but he didn't pitch badly at all. If he could have gotten Matsui out, we'd be looking at Game 7. He only gave up 3 hits over 4 innings, with 5 strikeouts. It was the Phillies batters who didn't do anything in Game 6, except for Ryan Howard, who didn't do anything the entire rest of the World Series. Rollins, Utley, Werth, Feliz, all hitless in Game 6 with Utley and Werth each striking out twice.

And by the way, I'm not a baseball nerd!! So there.
There's no crying in baseball
