That's exactly what I'm doing, two different 1TB drives...one for the OS and apps, the other for media files. I haven't attempted networking the computer yet, I don't anticipate any real issues.

I have kept my media on a separate drive since a virus once wiped me out. Last time I swapped drives I gave the old drive to Gator. That way if I ever had a catastrophic failure I could alway get my files again. Looks like that is my plan again this time.

I fixed the tower now I am in no rush to swap out the hard drive. Sorry Gator. I will get done in the next month or so. There is so much crap backed up on this computer it will be a 2 or 3 day event to switch over all of the data and applications.

....and the backup process stops. Right now I am just trying to get a stable OS on my machine. I am running Linux on both of my machines.
