I finished my introduction to the Lord of the Rings trilogy to my my eight year old last night. We watched all of the extended edition DVDs from start to finish each night before he went to bed. I think it took a month to get through all of them.
He now keeps asking when The Hobbit hits theatres.

The first disc of Defying Gravity; a 2009 space opera. Another actually good series cancelled in the first season. Hopefully, the writers knew about the series' demise so there will be some resolution once I get to the end...

Contagion - A realistic version of how an epidemic could break out and spread without the actual drama and intensity of a real life epidemic. Well done, but kinda falls flat.

The Caine Mutiny - Fictional tale about a mutiny during WWII, pretty good
Dreamcatcher - Movie version of a really good Stephen King novel, not bad, not good either

Act of Violence - "An embittered, vengeful POW stalks his former commanding officer who betrayed his men's planned escape attempt from a Nazi prison camp"
It wasn't as good as it sounds.

Source Code - more of a romantic film than an action flick. Ground Hog Day on an exploding train.
