Former Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens reportedly will be indicted on perjury charges for lying at a Congressional hearing about his use of steroids.
The announcement is scheduled for later today, The New York Times reported on its website this afternoon.
The indictment comes nearly three years after Clemens and his former personal trainer, Brian McNamee, testified under oath before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Clemens' testimony at the hearing in February 2008 directly contradicted what McNamee told lawmakers about the use of banned substances.
