Bruce, is there any difference between tuning pegs for electric and acoustic guitars?

There is a lot of differences even between just acoustic guitars. The two major types will be solid and slothead. Slothead typically will be nylon string and solid will be regular nickle guitar strings. I have a cheap slot head that I just put a $10 tuners on, the tuners on my main guitar were around $90.

You may want to stay away from "inline" tuners unless you have the guitar with you at a store and you can make sure they line up.

I get most of my restore stuff from Stew Mac as do most guitar repair guys. They are cheap. I have had cases where the shipping is more than the part.
