12" speakers are by far just for guitar, just like 10" and 15" speakers are just for bass. Bergantino is one of the most respected bass cabinet builders, so I trust that he knows what he's doing by making a 12" speaker cab.
Plus, it's about 30lbs lighter than his 15" cab, so I'm totally good with that. One of the reasons I'm dropping $1400 for these cabs is that they're incredibly light and portable, plus they sound amazing. I want a powerful yet portable rig, and these fit those qualifiers easily. They're light enough that I can carry one in each hand, put the Mesa I want in my bass bag, and put my bass on my back. One trip for the win.
