I'm considering trading off my PRS Torero.
This guitar was/is my baby. It's beat out tons of other guitars that I've compared it to.
But it makes me sick keeping it like a case queen in my closet lately. I've put in and taken out several different sets of pickups in it.
It's a metal monster or blues authority depending on the day.
It just doesn't get played like it should. I have no use for a floyd rose, and 7 strings just feels like home lately.

I sense an essence of sarcasm.

I would, but I need at the very least a 25.5" scale for a 7.

The softer attack of a short scale does not go very well with a low B in my experience.
Plus I'm most comfortable on 25.5" or higher.
It's a lot easier to keep my playing cleaner with the extra tension. I pick really fuckin' hard.
Sure, I could just get a way thicker low B string but does B really need to sound that much more massive?

I get where you're coming from. I have a C7 Hellraiser that I just don't play. Its a great guitar but 7 strings just aren't my thing, at the moment.
Trust me, I'm a medical professional.

I've never identified very much with the "closet queen" mentality. Granted, I got both of my USA PRS used and already dinged up and shit. I got my PRS bari in near mint condition, but when my dog knocked it and the rest of my PRS over when I was shooting a picture, it was damaged... but I don't really care.
Even with my D'avanzo, I won't care as much. Granted, I'll do everything in my power to make sure I keep it in mint condition, but I know it will eventually get damaged, and I'm okay with that. Because they're instruments, not wall art.
My point is that if you're the kind of person that might be reluctant to let loose on a pretty guitar, maybe you shouldn't own any super pretty guitars until you're at a point in your life where you have enough guitars that it just doesn't matter anymore.
tl;dr sell it and get something you don't care about getting beat up. Like a MIJ Ibanez.
