I think I may have the pedal bug.
Goddammit. There goes my money.
I'm looking at all sorts of reverbs, chorus pedals, dirt boxes, etc...

Nice. I've been debating selling all of mine and getting a multi fx processor like a Boss GT-10 or something. I find myself getting lazier as I get older. I no longer have dreams of a custom built pedal board with individual stomp boxes and the hassle that comes with lugging it around. Not that I'm gigging around or anything.

Pedal Acquisition Syndrome is a real problem among guitarist. It's been devastating guitar players minds for years.
I hear Mexico is nice this time of year.

Just set a limit of one of each of the most basic pedals and don't start buying a bunch of the same pedal types. Adding something to your board to do a song or for a certain sound is one thing , buying pedals just to buy them is another whole bucket of stupid. More money then sense can be painful too.

Yeah this is really a good point. There aren't that many pedals I need when it boils down to it which is why I've personally always stuck to stomp boxes up until now.
I agree youngthrasher focus on the effects you need first, then go test out a few and start chipping away at adding them to your collection.

You NEED a Drone Station.
Actually, a Supernaut is probably more up your alley.

I used to have too many, now I try to keep it minimal... compressor, fuzz and wah. Now I find myself missing and/or wanting delay, chorus, echoplex, overdrive, etc. It's a lose-lose IMO.

I'll probably be getting a new preamp, a Joyo chorus, and the Protone I've been talking about.
This year is going to be the gear year for me, I think.

I thought 2012 would be my gear year.
It never stopped. Once I got into pedals it was all over for me. I mean there have been periods of a few months here and there where I didn't buy anything, but I've bought so much guitar shit over the last 3 years it's not even funny.

I have a little bit of practice since buying my first pedal in 1976 but bills and food really put a crimp into buying more then a few.
