What did you watch this weekend?
12 Years a Slave - Really good, I'd recommend it.

Me too. I was feeling it sympathetically through my wife, the white devil.

I have no guilt.

I'm Polish and Cherokee. My people have never owned anything, let alone another human.

Does that make me an asshole?

My people were sharecroppers. No one cared what happened to us.

Come to think of it, nothing has changed.
Because I said so.

The Fault in Our Stars - Good, but sad, movie about dying teenagers.

Divergent - I liked it. I was amused to see that the teen couple from The Fault in Our Stars were brother and sister in this one. I was also saddened to see how old Ashley Judd looks now.

The Babadook.

Good psychological horror film that relied on classic themes as opposed to cheap "jumpscares" to draw the audience in.

Not for everyone, but for fans of horror themes and atmosphere - you'd enjoy it quite a bit.

Go into it cold. Don't read anything about it prior.
