No surprises yet:

Redskins Dismiss "Dead Man Walking" Zorn

Quote:Jim Zorn was fired by the Washington Redskins early Monday, the first step in yet another team overhaul under owner Dan Snyder.

Zorn was informed of his dismissal shortly after the team returned to Redskins Park following Sunday’s season-ending 23-20 loss at San Diego.

“I just know that last place is not Redskins football,” general manager Bruce Allen said. “Last place two years in a row is not Redskins football.”

Bills fire ENTIRE coaching staff

Quote:The Buffalo Bills opened their offseason with a purge by firing interim coach Perry Fewell and the rest of his staff on Monday.

Though Fewell was dismissed, he is still a candidate for the team’s vacant head coaching job.

The Bills released an awkwardly worded statement, saying members of the team’s current coaching staff have been informed that their obligations for this season have been completed, and they now “have the opportunity to seek positions elsewhere.” The release said their status will then be determined by the Bills’ next head coach.

The news Giants fans were waiting for all year long:

Giants fire defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan

Quote:Coach Tom Coughlin dismissed the rookie coordinator late Monday afternoon, just hours after saying that Sheridan’s future with the team was going to be evaluated in the wake of an 8-8 season that ended with losses in eight of the final 11 games.

The firing also came the same day that co-owner John Mara vowed to make changes after seeing the season end with two embarrassing losses in which the Giants were outscored 85-16.

The defense struggled this season, giving up 427 points, ranking it third from the bottom in the NFL. Only the Detroit Lions and St. Louis Rams gave up more points. Opponents scored at least 40 points in five games, the first time that has happened to the Giants since 1966.

"The Buffalo Bills' head coaching search took a turn for the worse Wednesday. New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer decided he is not interested in interviewing for the Buffalo job this week or after the Jets' season ends, according to a report on ESPN

I saw that. They're going to be pretty good with Weiss as O-Coord and Crennell as D-Coord.

Now all they need is a team to coordinate
