I am going to propose two new laws that I need you guys to get behind.
The first is “The Elderly Road Act”: The way I look at it old people have all day to get their shit done. There is no need for these curmudgeons to be on the roads during rush hour mucking everything up. The bill I am proposing would keep the elderly off the roads between 6-9 A.M. and 4-6 P.M. They have the whole rest of the day to get their shit done there is no need for them to bring the commute to a screeching halt.
My second bill is very similar in nature. “The EBT Access Act”: If you are using an Electronics Benefits Card you obviously do not have a job. There is no reason for hard working Americans that are paying for your groceries to have to wait in line for you on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons when we are trying to get shit done. Make EBT cards only active 7 A.M. – 5 P.M. on Monday thru Friday. If you don’t have a job that gives you plenty of time to get your shopping done. It also overlaps with the “The Elderly Road Act” for those older people on assistance.
If any of you TMR members are in the House or Senate and can sponsor these bills I would greatly appreciate it.

I also think old people, if even allowed on the highways, should be restricted to the far right lane at all times.

Not my idea, but I like it....
"Like a lot of folks in this state, before retirement I had a job. I worked, they payed me.
I paid my taxes and the government distributed my taxes as it seen fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I was required to pass a random urine test with which I had no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their rear end, Doing drugs, while I work...
Can you imagine how much money the state would save If people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't.
Hope you all will pass it along, though. Something has to change in this country soon!!!
I guess we could title that program,
'Urine or You're Out'"

I support drug tests for welfare recipients, but everyone should be able to realize that there's a huge difference between your employer mandating a drug test and the government mandating a drug test.

Square. :old: :toast:
I'm just saying that corporations can do whatever they want without public approval. The government is (supposed to be) run on the approval of the people.

People on probation, state employees, the military and a host of other public sector people are subject to urine tests. Add to that chemical tests are now legal at sobriety checkpoints. If I can be randomly drug tested using a public road, welfare recipients sure as hell should be tested to see if they are using state funds for illegal activity.

We have a random testing policy.
We also have a policy that if you file a workers comp claim you MUST be drug tested.
If a bus driver is involved in an accident he MUST be drug tested.
Because I said so.
