I have been on a pickup info crusade lately. The past few weeks have been a hellish exercise in tedium. I've looked at Motor City, manlius, Dimarzio, BKP...you name it.
Well after watching what seems like days worth of youtube videos where shitty kids play through shitty amps and where great players play through shitty profilers I think I've narrowed it down.
For the Roadstar I'm gonna try the dimarzio Titan. It has a very interesting combination of the bellowing lows of an invade and the mid/high character of an aftermath. It sounds heavy as hell but seems to retain clarity.
It also looks like I'll be getting a great deal on a BKP Rebel Yell for an as of yet unconfirmed project.

Well the order was placed, double cream bobbins with black bolts (to accent the bridge since I'm vain).
It should do what I want. If not, I'll set it on fire and try something else.

The Nuke with an alnico magnet.
But no correspondence with the guy and no sound clups made me question it.
Plus I always lose springs so I need as many as I can get lol!

It actually looks really nice. Good low end that stays tight and very clear. No congestion like an invader.

that's perfect though, everyone I've ever seen who bought one did it for the apprearance and the idea that it's super high output, not for any other reason.
