DR Strings PROPS!
#1
Some of you are aware that I had a strange occurrence last month with string breakage occurring in consecutive band practices.  Here is an update:

I wrote to DR Strings last week and told them what had happened, and that I am a loyal customer.  I asked if there were any batch issues, etc.

They replied within a couple of days and apologized for the inconvenience.  They asked for my address and offered to replace the strings.  Today, a few days after the original email, I received two sets of replacement strings.

I have been using DR Strings for about 17 years.  I plan to continue to do so.  The response from their CS department reinforces that decision.

Kudos to DR Strings!

:thanks:
Because I said so.

That's awesome Les! I used to use DR strings exclusively for bass when I was gigging and recording as a bassist. Now that I don't play bass very often I use whatever I can afford. I like DR.

I'm glad they took care of you. I tried some of their colored strings like 6 years ago and broke five in a week, including a low e.

Never again

When i was in my old metal band, we were offered a sponsorship by DR strings. I bought some sets to test them out (i'm a d'addario guy), and i wasn't really into the feel or the selection of gauges available for what i needed (light top heavy bottom D-standard tuning

They always felt cheap to me. And I'm a cheapskate, so I like to buy one set of Elixirs every six months or so.

I'm an Elixir man myself. I can usually squeeze 3 months out of a set on my main player and 4 to 5 months out of a set on other guitars.
