(August 27th 2008 – TMRZoo.com) On the last Wednesday in August since 1945, the Spanish town of Buñol has been hosting the biggest food fight known to man – La Tomatina. Today, at around 10 a.m., trucks began to haul the bounty of tomatoes into the center of the town as shop-keepers scrambled to protect their storefronts for the carnage about to ensue.
Each year, thousands of tourists flock to this small town in Spain for the messy celebration, practically quadrupling the population. For those of us who unfortunately will not be chucking tomatoes at strangers today, Three Olives Vodka encourages us celebrate in our own way, with a Tomojito featuring Three Olives Tomato.
Please find the recipe for our spin the traditional Mojito below, and we promise not to tell if we find you pelting your friends after downing a few!
