Fine dining fans are sure to cheer for the planned opening of NYY Steak in Manhattan. The announcement of this new location follows the highly successful opening of the first NYY Steak location in Yankee Stadium.
Slated to open in early 2013, the new NYY Steak will be located at 7 West 51st Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Manhattan. The steakhouse, which will occupy 16,000 square feet of space, will have seating for 264 guests as well as private function spaces.
“NYY Steak on 51st Street is in an ideal location in NYC,” said Yankees Chief Operating Officer Lonn Trost. “It’s easily accessible for business people, tourists and of course all sports fans.”
The menu to be offered at NYY Steak represents unique steakhouse cuisine. The restaurant will specialize in the finest on-premises butcher shop dry-aged (21 – 28 days) USDA Prime steaks, including a 27 ounce bone-in rib eye steak that can be ordered with custom carved messages in the bone. Additionally, NYY Steak will feature tantalizing appetizers, soups, fresh seafood, specialty entrees and thematic desserts. NYY Steak will also carry an impressive list of more than 400 wines from around the world.
The NYY Steak experience is enhanced by the restaurant’s decor, featuring display cases and a wall of personalized steak knives. Celebrities, athletes and VIP customers will have their names etched on steak knives that will be available for their personal use during visits to the restaurant.
“NYY Steak has been embraced by premier diners and sports fans alike,” said David Miller, COO of NYY Steak. “We look forward to offering this fine dining experience to an even wider audience.”
