You get much noise from the pups?

 Not noticeably. On the first few plays with volume, the bridge pickup fed back pretty easily. I've done an adjust of pole piece heights [ they're adjustable ] and pickup heights but yet to try and see how that changes things.
The pick guard is probably half the thickness of the original and there's a block of wood [ support ] missing from underneath the pick guard, between the neck and the bridge pups, that was in the original. I'm thinking these may be contributing to the feedback. Further investigation is needed.
