actually, P90 route, so if I get sick of the mini humbucker, I can just stick a P90 in there, and if I get sick of that, I can just stick on a pickguard with a regular strat or tele neck pickup mounted.
maximum neck pickup versatility.
now the problem of sourcing a body that isn't frightfully expensive. I'm planning on doing a carved top myself, so I need to get an unfinished body. But keeping costs down while also ensuring good craftsmanship on the work that does matter (bridge/string mounting holes, neck pocket, neck mounting holes) is proving a tad difficult.
