Gator Wrote:You all may be Favre haters (I am totally apathetic about the guy...play, don't play, retire, don't retire..whatever), but I just heard that Monday night's game had the highest ratings of any cable show in cable history.
Maybe people were just tuning in to see if the Packers defense was going to kill him???
I don't think the players care really. Its the Green Bay fans that want to kill him. I can see why it got big ratings though, its quite a bit of drama.... Favre's style. The next game's ratings in Green Bay should be insane.

trouble just seems to find this guy...
Bengals WR Henry ââ¬Åbattling for lifeââ¬Â
Quote:Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry is ââ¬Åbattling for his lifeââ¬Â after falling out of the back of a pickup truck Wednesday during what police described as a domestic dispute with his fiancee.
Henry was found in the road about eight miles north of downtown Charlotte ââ¬Åapparently suffering life-threatening injuries,ââ¬Â according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Police spokesman Robert Fey said officers were stationed near the 26-year-old Henryââ¬â¢s hospital room. He had no information on Henryââ¬â¢s condition, but said he was alive.

At least he was on the IR when he was killed. His kids will get his NFL pension. If Pacman gets hit by a bus tomorrow his kids will get shit.

shocker...
Brad Childress is 0-for-2 on attempts to bench Brett Favre
Quote:In the third quarter of Sunday night's game between Minnesota and Carolina, Brett Favre(notes) got into a "heated discussion" (Favre's words) with Vikings head coach Brad Childress. The subject of the discussion was Childress' attempt to bench his quarterback.
After briefly considering the recommendation, Favre denied the request. These were his postgame comments:
"There was a little heated discussion, I guess you would call it. We were up 7-6 at the time and it's no secret I was getting hit a little bit." ââ¬Â¦ "I think everyone in the building was like, 'They're not moving the ball, they're not getting points.' And so Brad wanted to go in a different direction and I wanted to stay in the game. You know, we were up 7-6. Yeah, it's not 70-6, but we're up 7-6. I said, 'I'm staying in the game. I'm playing.'" ââ¬Â¦ "We talked it out."

He's like a little kid, if you let him get away with it once it'll become a problem.

Perfect time of year for controversy.

I'm actually siding with Brett on this one. Who the hell wants to bench their quarterback in a game they're winning with home field advantage and a 1st round bye still up for grabs?
