What did you watch this weekend?

I probably got roped into watching it because wifey is a fan of Cage.

He was tolerable for the first 3/4 of the movie, then he turned into his normal, spastic self.

Area 51 - A "found footage" movie about three friends who want to sneak inside the top secret facility. It was ok, but it took forever before it got really good. Most of it was them preparing to get inside.

I started watching a European film about Trolls , last night. They were great Trolls but it was done in a semi " Bore Witch " style and I lost interest and turned over to a re-run of an episode of the UK TV series The Avengers.

That's what they were going for, but it wasn't suspenseful or scary at all. There was way too much backstory and planning.

I did just watch a similar "found footage" movie which was much better then Area 51:

Dyatlov Pass Incident (AKA as Devil's Pass), based on a true event from 1959. I saw a documentary about it a few years ago, so the movie interested me. It was pretty good, there were some parts that freaked me out a bit.

I'm not sure if it's still there, but I found the whole movie on YouTube. If you go that route, be warned that there are some versions where the voices are sped up and everyone sounds like they've inhaled helium. You'll know it's wrong as soon as the lead female starts talking.

I can't find the one I watched, it had the correct voices.

That is what happens when Jupetarians breathe our thin atmosphere.  They have to be put into pressure chambers at Area 51 just so we can hear their voices.
