"Pedal Steel Guitar" Tone
#1
Really love the tone of a Pedal Steel Guitar, any tips/thoughts of getting it through a regular 6 string guitar? Thanks!

Use copious amounts of volume knob and whammy abuse.
Because I said so.

That's the way to do it!

This is what I'd hack onto a partscaster:

Steel saddles a must!  Unless you want to keep replacing 'em.

Steel Saddles for the B-Bender?

What about the tone? My current Tele has Brass but i'm building another one and was thinking about Steel saddles for it.

I found a super cool pedal that I will need to get, anyone tried a Vertex Steel String Clean Drive?

The original Broadcaster had cold rolled steel saddles. I really don't think there's a huge difference in tone, unless you're splitting hairs.

Brass is pretty soft. You could also do Titanium, but I'd think they would wear too.

Might want to check out The Gear Page on Vertex - The owner got caught not being well... honest about his product... One I seem to remember is rebranding the BBE wah and calling it his own design.
