On Saturday, December 17th, at 10 AM during a blizzard, the intrepid crew consisting of co-producer and director Andy Choy, audio wizard David Barker and the camera folk which featured Katie Grace and Julio Magalhaes taped one of the most professional -...

You can't say Telltale Games doesn't have an knack for getting hot licensed properties from their rights holders. Not content to settle for The Walking Dead, Minecraft and Batman, the developer has announced a new episodic adventure series based on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxies. According to Telltale Games' co-founder and CEO Kevin Bruner:  "In Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The...

The official ban or “embargo” for posting movie reviews on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, ends at 5:30 pm on December 13, 2016, but that doesn’t mean there are not already anticipations and raves online regarding the film shrouded in secrecy. Forty-one year old director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, 2014; Monsters 2010,) inspired by the Star Wars franchise...

The purple setting with bare trees is a classy cover photo for Stains of a Sunflower’s February cd, and interesting as the name of the group is not on the spine, the front cover or the CD.  In fact, it’s hidden on the right hand bottom corner of the black back cover, making for a kinda sorta Andy Warhold...

This is a set I was looking forward to checking out, let me tell you. As a primer for the Hot Classic humbucker, let’s consider that the...

“Waves” opens up this intriguing five song E.P. from Cambridge based foursome Instant Shawarma and it is superb, one of my favorite songs to come out of the local scene in a long time. Ethereal guitar from Andy Constantine envelopes Pat O’Donnell’s voice as the band crafts something as mesmerizing and inspiring as Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac’s 1970’s epic “Albatross.”  ...

The Alpha Omega humbucker set is something that Seymour Duncan put together for Mark Holcomb, of the band Periphery. You might remember my review of the DiMarzio Titan humbucker set, the signature set for Periphery bandmate Jake Bowen. To offer some background on where Mark’s wheelhouse has been on his approach to pickups, he had been using the DiMarzio...

Gary Santerella is a mainstay on the New England scene and his Unconditional Love CD contains all his regional classics heard in clubs over the past three decades. “Don’t Kick Me When I’m Down” was aired on WAAF’s Bay State Rock with Carmelita back in the day, that pure pop version has the sublime chorus enhanced with vocalists from...
