After only four months on the shelf, Nauti Seltzer is expanding both their offerings and their distribution footprint. "It's been an amazing response," said Ned LaFortune, Co-Founder and President of Wachusett and Founder of the Craft Cocktail Company, the parent company of Nauti Seltzer. "The initial roll-out in the Northeast is complete and both the consumer and retailer demand now has...

For years people have argued form over function. Once in a while, in some cases, you can have both. I have an Ampeg V4 guitar cab I have played for years. At some point during the 80’s the grill was lost and replaced with individual metal grills. At the time I thought it looked more “metal.” As the years...

When we think of bass amps, we typically think of two configurations. The 15-inch speaker or the multi-speaker setup featuring 4 or 8 ten inch speakers. While both speakers have delivered thunderous bass over the years, I want to talk today about an often forgotten bass speaker – the twelve inch. Yes, there are plenty of 12-inch combos out there...

The Guilloteenagers (Geee-OH-teenagers) CD Cheese Balls to the Wall had Club Bohemia resplendent in…cheeseballs, of course, for the record release party for this excellent and consistent disc. “The Guilloteenagers Are Back” blasts open the disc with early Alice Cooper meeting iconic Boston punk band Unnatural Axe and it doesn’t let up. “50 Seconds” takes the Black Sabbath “Paranoid”...

Even the detested Ben Affleck's presence can't hurt this exquisitely sadistic, ultra violent "metahuman" (DC comics word for mutants one would think) flick, Suicide Squad. And any hope that they kill off Affleck somewhere in the enhanced military program is pushed aside in the "bonus track" after the credits where he and Viola Davis have a little tête-à-tête....

The DiMarzio Bluesbucker is a great pickup. Really cool and very versatile. It seems to get lumped in to a category as a bit of a P-90 option. I can see that… rather, hear that. While it took me a bit to wrap my head around the idea of the Bluesbucker on paper before picking...

Jason Bourne has a tight, compelling script from director Paul Greengrass and film editor Christopher Rouse, script elements missing from many current epics on the modern silver screen. Matt Damon is not this writer's favorite actor, but he gets high marks here, embracing the character's search for and through his past. It nicely bridges the four-year gap between the...

Star Trek: Beyond finds the Enterprise attacked by a relentless alien swarm, led by the hellbent commander Krall (played by an actor who has been in everything lately). It is not initially clear what Krall’s purpose is, which makes Star Trek: Beyond a little hard to get into. But that mystery is purposeful, and once all is revealed, the...

If you see Lights Out, do not be surprised if it is the most energetic movie crowd you have ever been a part of. The screams will be relentless, and the whoops will be boisterous. Generally, I do not let the crowd reaction influence my review too significantly, but the Lights Out crew is particularly instructive. This film is...

Does your guitar buzz or hum?  Or perhaps it doesn’t… or perhaps it’s not all that bad. You don’t have to be a gigging player to end up exposed to changes in your playing environment that could introduce some interference into your rig.  Be it to address an existing issue or to take some preventative measures… let’s talk about...
