National Ice Cream Soda Day: Make Mine a Double!

In 1984, Ronald Reagan pronounced the month of July as National Ice Cream Month, and encouraged U.S. citizens to celebrate these events with “appropriate ceremonies and activities.” To us of course, this means grabbing the flavored vodka and ice cream out of the freezer and spiking our sodas for some frozen adult fun.

The actual date of National Ice Cream Soda Day is a hot debate, and is celebrated in June, July, and August. The most popular date is this Sunday, July 20th, where we’ll be celebrating the way that Reagan intended.
