Fat Bastard Winetails

Here are some great wine drink recipes from The Click Wine Group, most of these look like they would pack a wallop. Please post your results if you try any of these.

Fat Bastard Winetails

Languedoc Bramble

2 oz Fat Bastard Shiraz

1 oz Marion berry (blackberry) puree

1 oz bourbon (Woodford Reserve)

∏ oz lemon juice

shake all ingredients with ice

fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass

garnish with three blackberries

If fresh blackberries are available, muddle 8 blackberries and π oz simple syrup (instead of puree) in shaker and then follow other directions.Purees can be made by placing fruit in a blender and adding simple syrup to taste.

 

 

Aude Man Thyme

2 oz Fat Bastard Chardonnay

1 oz gin (Plymouth)

2 sprigs thyme

1 oz peach puree

shake all ingredients with ice

fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass

garnish with sprig of thyme

If in season, muddle π of a peach with π oz simple syrup (instead of puree) in shaker and then follow other directions.

 

Incan Gold

1 oz Pisco

2 oz Fat Bastard Sauvignon Blanc or Fat Bastard Chardonnay

∏ oz pomegranate liqueur (Pama)

π oz lemon juice

π oz simple syrup

2 dashes peach bitters (if available)

Shake all ingredients with ice

   Strain into rocks glass

  Garnish with brandied cherries

 

 

Witch Doctor

3 oz Fat Bastard Sauvignon Blanc

1 ∏ oz white rum (Appleton’s)

1 ∏ oz pineapple juice

∏ oz lime juice

≤ oz simple syrup

4 sage leaves

shake all ingredients with ice

fine strain into an iced Collins glass

garnish with sage leaf skewered into pineapple wedge
