Electronic Arts Leaks Remake of the Classic 1993 Game Syndicate (Screen Shots)

Electronic Arts’ Origin Store may have accidentally leaked the existence of the long-rumored PC remake of the classic 1993 game Syndicate. According to the leaked presser, the game will be in first person, as opposed to the isometric 3D of the original. In addition, screenshots were also leaked by the Origin Store.

According to the press release:

“No longer governed by politicians, the developed world is divided up into regions controlled by megacorporations known as Syndicates. These Syndicates have revolutionized how the consumer interacts with the digital world. No longer does the consumer require a device to access the world’s data and control their technology, they can do this at the blink of an eye via neural chip implant.”

The press release goes on to describe the powers of the protagonist of the story, which involves an implanted chip that allows the player to “slow down time, see through walls, and breach your enemy and everything digital in the world with Dart vision.”

It strongly sounds like a cross between Deus Ex and Splinter Cell, since the game will, like the 1993 original, allow players to control a four man team, and allow on-line co-op so individual players can now each take a character. If that weren’t enough, the leaked press release also claims the game will have “9 missions re-imagined from the original Syndicate”.
