Kentucky Ale Spills Into Chicago

Kentucky Ale’s beer fans will be pleased to hear that there have been new advances with their beloved ale. The Alltech beverage division is not only growing in Kentucky, but out of state as well as their distribution has now expanded into Chicago. This adds to the beer’s current distribution in Kentucky, Ohio, Wisconsin, Georgia, Tennessee, Massachusetts and Indiana, along with their distribution network in China.

Kentucky Ale continues the expansion of their distribution network with the addition of Chicago based distributor, River North.

“Chicagoans have shown a history of enthusiasm for barrel-aged beers, and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a unique and exceptionally smooth barrel-aged beer that we know Chicagoans will enjoy,” said Yusef D. Jackson, president and CEO of River North.

Kentucky Ale products will join an impressive portfolio of craft beers headlined by companies like Goose Island Beer Co., Brewery Ommegang, and Brooklyn Brewery. Along with their craft beers, River North also carries a wide range of import and domestic brands.

“Chicago is the seventh largest craft beer market in the country with its three million residents,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder and president of Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company. “Much like Alltech, River North places a heavy emphasis on education and training its employees. They ensure all of their sales staff are trained through the Cicerone® Certification Program, an elite certification program that requires a very thorough understanding of craft beers. We are pleased to be working with River North.”
