Viking Sword Battles and reproductions of early Viking encampments and villages are featured. Performance guilds Brandenburg, Drafn, Guardians of Midgaard, Raiders From The North, Vestrfolk, and Wolves Ov Odin will exhibit life from the Viking period. Pewter casting, operating bread ovens, fabric dying, and weaving will lend to the authenticity of the day. New this year will be two real live Fjord Horses!
Homemade Lefse! Swedish Meatballs, Sausages, Baked Goods, Chevaps, and so much more! The beer gardens will feature San Diego County’s finest microbrews and the ever-popular Viking mead crafted especially for the Viking Festival! Vendor alley: horns, swords, clothes, jewelry, beads, henna, fortune telling, and much more. Visit Heritage Hall for lots of interesting Scandinavian facts!
The newly acquired Northern Territory allows for strolling along pathways and enjoying streams, trees, and authentic reproductions of Viking encampments and villages. Enjoy fine brews in the Northern Bar and performances on Loki’s stage. Anticipated attendance is 10,000 people!
From the 78 Freeway, exit Civic Center Dr., go North to East Vista Way, turn right. After 3 miles, look for Norway Hall and Viking Festival signs on your left. Located behind Prohibition Brewing Company. Additional parking north of the festival grounds.
