New Planet Beer Company signed a long-term agreement today to brew its gluten-free beers at The Fort Collins Brewery in Fort Collins, Colo. This new agreement formalizes the relationship that has help build New Planet into a gluten-free beer category leader across 40 states.

The joint effort from New Planet and The Fort Collins Brewery will bring a new state of the art brew house and increased fermentation capacity to 30,000 bbl for 2013.New Planet plans to increase capacity by 50 percent in 2013 to keep up with demand for its widely popular and outrageously tasty beers.
Brewing gluten-free beer requires extra attention to detail, care and respect for the vital importance of meticulously cleaning and sanitizing brewing and bottling equipment. The Fort Collins Brewery has pioneered how to brew New Planet‘s gluten-free beers and has successfully earned the company’s trust by maintaining integrity in the process.
“New Planet is a gluten-free beer brand from start to finish,” says Gonzalez, “and by that we mean that we begin with natural gluten-free ingredients, and we segregate the brewing and bottling process to ensure integrity.” New Planet is labeled in accordance with FDA and TTB standards.
Along with increased production capacity, New Planet Beer and The Fort Collins Brewery plan to make a significant investment in developing a laboratory and not only continue to test for quality and gluten at external labs but also in-house providing the brew masters with real time feedback on progress.
“Quality, consistency and public safety have always been priorities for The Fort Collins Brewery. Our standards are higher than just meeting federal guidelines – we actually exceed those set by the FDA,” said Tom Peters, owner of The Fort Collins Brewery. “We are looking forward to raising the bar by working with New Planet to create a state-of-the-art lab within the walls of our own facility.”
Set in the heart of Colorado craft beer country, New Planet Beer Company began operations in September 2009 by introducing the first gluten-free beer brewed and bottled in Colorado. From a humble beginning self-distributing from the back of a red pickup truck, the trailblazing company has grown with distribution to more than 40 states while winning awards and accolades for great taste.
