Located on a pretty hip street in downtown Haverhill, The Tap aka Haverhill Brewery is easy to find adjecent to the Haverhill train station in the downtown area.  Parking is on street or a lot behind the building.

As you walk into the establishment you walk by the bar which is loaded with beer paraphanalia. The wood bar is filled with locals, possibly regulars, the atmoshpere is cozy and inviting, very nice.

The main dining room has a brick interior, exposed pipe, fans and very high ceilings with pressed tin. As my daughter, wife and I walked in the place was pretty full on a saturday night around 6:45, we sat down to eat and I ordered the rejuvenation, the beer menu changes seasonally with the exception of their core beers (Leatherlips IPA, Whittier White, Haveale).  Tonight the seasonal beers include Rejuvenation, Riverbend Red, Chocolate Porter on nitro, Golding, and the Honey Pale Ale.

I ordered the Steak tips and fries to go with my Rejuvenation (Belgian Strong Ale) which the steak tips were cooked to perfection and my wife had the wild mushroom ravioli which she paried with the whittier white and the food and beers were great. The prices are good, for entrees, between $8 for a burger to $19 for various steaks, seafood, etc.  The desserts and most of the entrees try to incorporate some beer into the dish which I appreciate, and overall atmosphere and quality was fantastic. I definitely will be heading back again.

Cheers,

Frank
