Digital Spy is reporting that Crackdown 2 will be hitting the Xbox 360 on July 6, 2010 in North America, July 9 everywhere else. The game will feature four player co-op play in an open world full of criminals and mutants.
Developer Ruffian Games has some upcoming ViDocs, to coin a term from Bungie, to show off the game in action.
Ahead of the launch, Ruffian Games intends to showcase footage from the release in a three-part video documentary series titled Fun With Friends.
The films will feature creative director Billy Thomson, producer James Cope, senior engineer David Hynd and senior mission designer Dean Smith discussing the challenge of creating the game’s sandbox world.
They will also showcase the different components of the game’s multiplayer, which supports 16-player competitive and four-player co-operative modes.
