Oh, the interwebs. A marvelous series of tubes helping bring beer geeks together though they be separated by many miles. Last Saturday, that is exactly what it did. Long story short? I was chatting with fellow beer geek extraordinaire Lance about his recent procurement of 3 Floyds Zombie Dust. Well, it wasn’t long before Lance was good enough to offer me a trade. Perhaps it was our impatience, or our excitement, or my recent distrust of UPS and a “lost” package… in any case we decided to meet halfway across the state, have lunch, and trade some craft beer. My wife and I made a nice Saturday drive of it and she even threw in one of her stout cupcakes (with Irish Cream frosting) to seal the deal. Read the rest of this entry »

Pope Crisco: Sisyphus 2008 and 2011 Barleywine by Real Ale Brewing
Hope everyone, or at least their spouse, had a good Valentines Day, For myself, it included a trip to the store to pick up flowers, my wife’s favorite beer, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, and a healthy dose of a number of different flu and cold medications for myself.
Luckily my cold has broken for the most part, and as my reward for joining the ranks of the working dregs, I have decided to open a couple bottles of Real Ale Brewing Company’s Sisyphus, a bottle from 2008 that was gifted to me by my brother and another from 2011, bought last week from Central Market in Southlake, TX. It’s hard to ready any sports publication, column or website these days without seeing at least someone mentioning New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin. Anybody that has any kind of opinion on sports is partaking in the Jeremy Lin phenomenon. Just like Tim Tebow took over the second half of the 2011 NFL season with Tebow-mania, the latest craze is “Linsanity”.

Selena Gomez Has an Major Upskirt Wardrobe Malfunction (Graphic Pics)
Looks like a huge day in the celebrity gossip area of TMRzoo today. Justin Bieber lil’ honey Selena Gomez has been photographed flashing her baby-maker. Selena wasn’t sans panties so these are not commando shots. Still her panties splith over and there is quite a bit of her neither regions showing.
You would think someone who has been in the spotlight as long as Selena Gomez would know how to avoid a major wardrobe malfunction. With the paparazzi stalking celebrities looking for nip slips and upskirt shots, you would think these starlets would be more careful. Read the rest of this entry »
A New Kim Kardashian Sex Tape Purportedly Hits the Internet (PICS)
Could Kim Kardashian be that stupid? There is another alleged Kim Kardashian sex tape hitting the web this weekend. The woman in question looks a lot like Kim Kardashian but is hard to tell with her face full of penis. Our sex tape forensics team here at TMRzoo are calling this tape a fraud.
This looks more like clips from a hardcore xxx film with an actress that looks like Kim Kardashian. Then again, we have been wrong before. Kim Kardashian is no stranger to the sex tape. Kim appeared in a sex tape with Ray J, Whitney Houston’s last boyfriend. Seeing Kim is dealing with sagging ratings and fame slipping away from her it would not be surprising to see her revisit the medium that launched her career. Read the rest of this entry »
Raspberry Ketones and Weight Loss
With the recent mention of Raspberry Ketones on the Dr. Oz show their popularity as grown exponentially. The write up below provides a sound explanation of how Raspberry Ketones actually work. If you are looking for a product with Raspberry Ketones in it we recommend ANS Melting Point.
Raspberry Ketones are aromatic compounds found in red raspberries that have been shown to aid fat loss without stimulating the central nervous system. The molecular structure in Raspberry Ketones are similar to capsaicin – the thermogenic (caloric burning process through heat) agent in chilies and red peppers, but are thought to be far more potent than capsaicin at lipolysis (fat cell destruction). Movie Review: Chronicle – You Could Have Possibly Witnessed the Next Star Wars Franchise
This extraordinarily popular movie filmed on a relatively small budget shows that a strong script, good acting and a story that resonates can open the doors to all sorts of films that may never have had a chance …the “Night of the Living Dead” routine, which this film reminds me of on so many levels. Where George A. Romero’s 1968 horror masterpiece was bleak and lacking in hope, this film splashes color and hopeful possibilities to explore, all shrouded by the darker side of human emotion. It’s an enthralling trip which entertains, brings drama, and makes you think. Read the rest of this entry »
Suds With Securb: Bud Light Platinum Hands on Review
Last weekend when I landed in Vegas for Super Bowl Sunday I noticed Bud Light Platinum had found great point of sale positioning not only in the airport but also all over Las Vegas. I was excited to try this beer, when Anheuser-Busch hits a homerun as they occasionally do I am the first to give them kudos. This was not the case.
The good news for you Bud Light/Budweiser drinkers is Bud Light Platinum tastes just like your typical Anheuser-Busch beer. The bad news is Bud Light Platinum tastes just like your typical Anheuser-Busch beer. It is so easy for a beer blogger to simply slam an Anheuser-Busch product and move on. Most beer snobs and geeks will applaud this move. I wanted to give Bud Light Platinum a fighting chance so I looked around the internet to find any positive words about this new product. This is what I found: Read the rest of this entry »
Leif Garrett Still Alive at 50
With the passing of singer Whitney Houston, we are once aging compelled to check in on Leif Garrett. Surprisingly Lief is still alive. Looking crapier than ever, but yes he is alive. We were not sure at first but a closer look tells us clinically we have to call him alive. Vegas odds say Leif is most likely the next child star to be found face down in a pool of his own vomit but still he seems to march on. Read the rest of this entry »

Review: The Rolling Stones – Some Girls Live In Texas DVD
Better lit than 1972’s Ladies & Gentlemen The Rolling Stones, that DVD filmed over four nights in Texas during 1972’s “Exile on Main Street” tour, this “Some Girls Live” is from a Fort Worth, Texas from July 18, 1978. The two projects – with 6 years between them – provide a Texas-twosome of Stones performances that make for good analysis…as well as the general good old time we expect from Mick & the boys.
“All Down the Line” is a nice enough kick-off, a slowed-down “Honky Tonk Women” exquisite for the musicianship and nice mix in the headphones, though one wonders if Mick Jagger’s pantomimes will survive the centuries as future historians look back into these time capsules. Perhaps I spoke too soon here as the nasty and vindictive side of Mick has him beaming with malevolence on the very next track. Read the rest of this entry »
Suds With Securb: New Belguim Lips of Faith Are Your Perfect Choices for St. Valentines’ Day Beers.
This could not be a better week for these two beers to come across my desk. New Belgium Brewing’s Lips of Faith are the perfect beers for Valentine’s Day. Typically, I would not suggest buying your beloved beers on this holiday. In this case, you are safe coming home beer in tow.
The first of this release Biere de Mars is a Bière de Garde. The ale pours a cloudy orange color with a fluffy white head. Biere de Mars has a citrus driven aroma, a perfect fireplace sipper with wonderful citrus and spicy aromas. The dryness of the beer and the funk of the wild yeast give this beer an almost vinous quality to it. You will definitely pick up caramel and cinnamon esters in the nose of this beer. Cinnamon has been shown to increase sex drive it is a natural aphrodisiac. How can you go wrong with this beer? Read the rest of this entry »
