TMR Destinations: Boston’s Royal Sonesta Hotel – Elegance and Convenience with a Breath Taking View

Last week signaled the beginning of tourist season here in The Hub. 12 million people will pour through Beantown this year to take in our rich history, scenic beaches, and unparalleled nightlife. For those of you planning a trip to Boston this year I will give you a bit of insider advice. If you are staying in Boston you need not stay IN Boston.

Directly across the river from Boston’s main attractions and minutes from Faneuil Hall is Cambridge’s famed Royal Sonesta. The Royal Sonesta Hotel gives you the best of Boston and Cambridge at your fingertips. Located next to the Cambridge Galleria Mall and M.I.T. the Royal Sonesta is a short walk from bustling Kendal Square.

The Royal Sonesta is also only a 5-minute cab ride from Boston’s theater district or high-end dining and shopping on Newbury Street.

Our suite at the Royal Sonesta had a plush king sized bed in its luxurious bedroom. The suite also had a dining area for four and enough seating for a modest cocktail gathering. If you are not in the mood for cocktails in your room just heard downstairs. The hotel features two beautiful lounges. I was pleased to find many upscale beer options including Allagash Black on tap.

One of the most impressive features of this hotel is the view. You can’t get a view of Boston if you are staying in Boston; you can’t see the forest through the trees. The Royal Sonesta gives you a stunning view of the Charles River, Boston and is a perfect viewing spot for this year’s 4th of July fireworks.

The elegance, convenience and view make the Royal Sonesta the premiere upscale destination for visitors to Boston.
