This week we have Neil Ratner aka The Rock Doctor which just also happens t be the name of his current titled book available through amazon.com and his personal website as well see all information below:
As a teenager, Neil was an aspiring rock n’ roll drummer but ended up on the other side of the music business working as a tour manager, assistant manager and producer for groups like Edgar Winter, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Pink Floyd and T-Rex, among others. After a number of successful years working in the music biz, Neil had an epiphany and decided to pursue his other childhood dream of becoming a doctor.
He finished college, learned Spanish, spent four years at a medical school in Mexico, completed two years of surgical training and an anesthesia residency, and helped create the new specialty of office-based anesthesia in Manhattan. In doing so, Dr. Ratner became an expert in the use of the new drug, Propofol, a drug that would play a significant role in Neil’s future in regards to his most famous patient (see below!).
Although Dr. Ratner encountered many celebrities in his anesthesia practice, one would change his life… Michael Jackson. Eight years after establishing his anesthesia practice, Michael Jackson walked into an office in which Neil was the Director of Anesthesia. Neil became a trusted friend and personal physician of Michael’s from 1994 to 2002, periodically going on tour and spending time with Michael at Neverland. The experiences they shared together during that time are incredible and Neil is happy to relate them to you.
Rock Doc is Neil’s remarkable journey about Rock & Roll, Michael Jackson, Nelson Mandela, a prison sentence with very unexpected results and how helping the poorest of the poor became a key part of his life.
These days “the Rock Doc” lives a busy life in Woodstock, NY working to expand upon his brand. He has created a FB page entitled Neil Ratner Rock Doc with over 26,000 fans and posts everyday about the good old days of rock and roll along with his personal experiences. In addition,
he has created a YouTube channel with over 80 videos, a popular Instagram site and a twitter feed.
His mix of rock and roll history and personal experiences along with rock musician interviews and audience participation is perfect for syndication and a fitting cap to a career that’s made an impact in many areas.
He’s on his way to that goal as he’s started a weekly segment on WDST, Radio Woodstock, called This Week in Rock, also heard on iHeart Radio.

After six years going on seven of The Rat Beach Parties in Hull we are bringing the festivities up to Cambridge
The Reunion of Artists from Cantones, The Rat and The Club in Cambridge
https://tinyurl.com/
It was my honor to have promoted shows at all three venues, and having performed at these wonderful hot spots I have a unique perspective
on the fun from both the stage and the audience point of view.
It is also a tribute to the late Mario Cantone, Jimmy Harold and John J. Courtney that these competing “cellars full of noise” all got along in a spirit of cooperation, not competition. This is not to imply any affiliation with those long-lost nightclubs, it is a tribute to the memories and those who were there onstage, in the audience, and some now in spirit.
June 1, 2019 will be an afternoon and evening to respectfully remember the three key clubs where rock and roll dreams come true
There are a number of bands on the bill that will be announced over the coming weeks including but not limited to:
The Hummingbird Syndicate
Club Linehan A Go Go with Lady Carolyn, Pamela Ruby Russell and yours truly, Joe Viglione

Here’s an updated article on our previous guest Dani-Elle Kleha as she just released a new video single “Heading For Home” from her current E.P. “Running On Dreams”
NASHVILLE, TN. – (May 17, 2019) – Award winning performer, songwriter and recording artist, Dani-elle Kleha, released her second single, “Head For Home,” from well received EP “Runnin’ On Dreams” to radio. The music is available on PlayMPE as well as all digital platforms here.
“I knew that I had to release “Head for Home” as the next single from the EP “Runnin’ On Dreams” because I just know it is a song that so many people are going to be able to connect to on so many levels,” reflects Dani-elle Kleha. “I am all about making as big of an impact as I can through my music, and I hope that this song does just that.”
“Dani-Elle’s plaintive vocals drive this soul-searching ballad and truly evoke the deep questions to the listener,” expressed produced, Chip Martin. “Her obvious experience and pain is clear and present, and resonate straight to the heart.”
“Head For Home” is a heartfelt song that everyone of any age can really relate to. This is one of those songs that flowed out during the writing process. In every person’s life there are ups and downs and the lyrics of this particular song defines how we all go through the process. Dani-elle and her mom were hit by a drunk driver in a car accident and she still has a tough time dealing with the emotions from that. Sitting at the piano one day the thoughts started flowing from the accident. No one thinks they will be in a terrible accident or thinks about having to figuring out how to deal with the mental challenges one endures. The answer is really about surrounding yourself with the right people and simply “Heading Home” to regroup. Dani-elle wanted this to be a message of knowing it’s alright to not be ok all of the time and a strong reminder that you are not the only person who goes through it. whether it be a breakup, loss of a loved one or just dealing with life. The song has had a great connection with her Positive Youth Tour in a powerful way that only music can. The goal is to change a lot of lives and touch many hearts with this song.
Dani-elle continues to promote her last single “Get Back Up” released in April 2018, a song that inspired her Positive Youth Tour, a series of live shows performed at schools in Pennsylvania’s Lackawanna and Susquehanna counties, where the concerts include segments during which Dani-elle speaks to students about following their dreams, bullying, and self-worth.
About Dani-elle Kleha:
Dani-elle Kleha is an aspiring, performer and recording artist from Jermyn, Pennsylvania with a sound well beyond her years. Her voice is a combination emulating a throwback to 90’s country mixed with a modern flair. The ability to captivate the audience from the moment she steps on stage to the moment the crowd files out the doors, Dani-elle always leaves her fans with a lasting impression. She has shared the bill with artists Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and more. Along with her busy schedule, Dani-elle makes time to give back to the community and nationally with her position of being the National Spokesperson for “Veteran’s Promise” as well as headlining the “Positive Youth Tour,” a series of live shows performed at schools in Pennsylvania’s Lackawanna and Susquehanna counties, where the concerts include segments during which Dani-elle speaks to students about following their dreams, bullying, and self-worth. This is only the beginning and there is no stopping her now. Her fresh new look and unique sound has her taking the Country Music world by storm one song at a time. Our Mission Statement…
——————————
Talking Hendrix is a journey through Jimi Hendrix’s music catalog common and rare pieces of his musical diversity, along with interviews with artists who’ve played, worked or were inspired by Jimi’s expertise styling of guitar playing. The show also contains music that was out during the pop culture scene that Jimi was involved with or inspired his musical stylings or just was on the charts at the same time he was on them as well. Host Ed Wrobleski a Massachusetts native has been a fan and following Hendrix’s music since the age of 8 and has completed over 200 shows that has been posted up on mixcloud.com and
archive.org Now having just a straight interview spin off of the regular music show we’ve broadened our horizons with versatile guests that may not just have a connection with Jimi’s music but also may have somehow secretly followed his career in other mysterious ways the artist, songwriter, or author themselves may have not even realized.
