NFL Talk - 2008

If Romo is healthy, they have a good shot @ beating the Ravens, should be a another bloody battle.

They have to keep Romo upright. He took too many shots last night (as did Eli). He's one hit away from being gone again. I don't think the Giants will lose to the Vikings. They could lose to the Panthers next week especially if Jacobs is still hurting. But at least they are home for that one. I don't think they would want to see Dallas or Philly again in the playoffs. Those teams are too familiar with each other.

On the other side DWare is playing like a beast right now. He's on pace to break Strahan's sack record which has * next to it anyways, thanks Brett.

Brett has his name attached to alot of F'd up shit. Did anyone see the end of the Jets/Bills game yesterday? What a disgrace. Its like it was fixed.

Anyone see the end of the Jets game? Geez what luck. And what is everyone thoughts on the call at the end of Ravens/Steelers? Pittsburgh always seem to get fucked up calls that favor them. Hell they won Superbowl vs Seattle due to fucked up calls.

I was with my Dad, brother and cousin yesterday watching the Steelers game and we all had different opinions on that call. On any other edge of the endzone, if you have two feet in and catch the ball, even if the ball is not in the endzone, it is a touchdown. Why shouldn't it be the case in the front too?

Because is those situations the ball is behind the plain. A RB can go feet first into the endzone and it's not touchdown if the ball doesn't cross the plain. It's weird thing and they should make a definitive rule.

That and the line of scrimmage rule. This year was the first time I knew that a QB's ENTIRE BODY needs to be across the line for it to be an illegal forward pass.

I'll buy either explaination on the endzone rule. The ball crossing the plane makes sense, but the way the ref explained it, if you have two feet planted in the endzone it is a TD. It would be hard for a RB to have two feet down in the endzone and not the ball.

Its aggrivating that all these rules are coming into question in one season.

ok bad example. A QB scrambles towards the endzone is about to get leveled at the plain and he slides. His feet are in the endzone but the ball isn't. Touchdown or no? But this a passing situation so it is different.

Hooch, do you know if they have flexed the Dallas/Philly game? I'm liking Sunday Nights this year ;)

If his feet are planted, it would be a TD per my understanding of the rules, but since he is sliding, another part of his body would be down before the endzone.

I hope not, that would close out the home schedule with 3 prime-time games. I want one more 1:00 tailgate. I do not think I'm going to get my wish though.

I'm heading down to get my tailgate on in an hour.

The Dallas defense has stepped up in the past month. They've been taking a lot of pressure off of Romo.
Will it blend? That is the question.

have to give Captain Kangaroo some credit here. Ever since he started calling the plays there has been a difference indeed.
