Today we are saddened by the news of America’s eternal teenager Dick Clark. Dick Clark’s American Bandstand brought Rock n Roll, The British Invasion and ultimately Disco in the the living rooms of millions of Americans.
Dick will be remembered by later generations as the host of New Year’s Rockin Eve. For some of us Dick Clark will be remembered as the man who taught America to rock. American Bandstant help give birth to other music themed television show like The Midnight Special, Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert and ultimately Mtv.
